The Little BIG things...

This blogpost was inspired by something that happened to me this morning.

In my haste to leave the house and quickly complain about why we haven't had light for a whole week in the office that manages the affairs of my estate, I quickly left my house without having my bath or brushing my hair. I just hurriedly brushed my mouth so that I wouldn't hurt anyone in the process of complaining. Anyway so I was at the management office looking as harrassed as possible and this really good looking guy comes into the office and joins the conversation. Then we all talked and laughed and everyone dispersed then he walks up to me and says "You're really beautiful". I was really baffled and taken aback because I hadn't taken my bath and I sure as hell had my guard down because I felt so unattractive. I only wanted to just quickly run down to the office to complain to management and be back home to bath and get ready before heading out. I gestured to my horrid looking face and said laughingly to him "Like this?" and he replied "Yea....".

He definitely belongs to the everly diminishing group of wise smart sleek Men because if you know that when you compliment any woman with her natural face, you'll uplift her and she would feel so cherished that it'll be unbelievable, then you belong to that group too. I'm not saying I'm going to stop using makeup or stop having my bath when I go to places because of his very kind charming compliment but I am just saying maybe Men need to find the right time to compliment their women. When she's without makeup looking scruffy in her hairnet and bathroom slippers, I can guarantee you that if you compliment her then, she's going to cherish that compliment far above when you compliment her when she has on her make up, high heels, perfectly fitted clothing on and all that.

It's not that most of us women don't care for compliments as well when we've taken ALOT of time to get dressed up and put on our makeup but all I'm saying is it's easy for us to look good with all that stuff on our face that 'makes us up', however when our face is bare and someone says we look beautiful, well we're bound to really blush and feel SO beautiful even if we doubt it, we're still bound to blush and that compliment really registers in our minds.

I'm not saying Men should overdo the compliment thing but I'm just saying once in a while, remind her why she's special to you. It doesn't even have to be a "You're beautiful" compliment. I'm not saying Men are the only ones who should be dishing out the compliments. If there's anything i've learned, it's that Men LOOOOOOOOVE compliments like for example when i say i love his new haircut, I always pause to watch him smile when he says "thank you dear".

Anyway the little random things that make my toes curl are.............

You could text her/him like really randomly and say "I'm really happy I have you".

Or you two are silently watching a movie & you look at her/him and say "I really care about you"

So many non-financial ways to make him/her feel special.

So many beautiful and handsome ways.
